In just one short month (or less, depending on when you catch this post) we’ll be headed to Chicago for the 2021 MWAA Conference. This year marks the 19th annual payments industry event hosted by the Midwest Acquirer’s Association. We’re looking forward to attending and hope to see you there as well!
On their website, MWAA notes:
“The 19th annual conference #MWAA2021 will be held at the Marriott Magnificent Mile Chicago. This one-and-a-half-day conference will be filled with educational and networking opportunities, dynamic speakers and an exhibit hall, featuring the latest payments and value-added products and services.”
In this post, we’ll share some of the important details about the event, including where and how to get registered, the agenda, location information, and more. Let’s get started!
The MWAA was founded on the belief that it is important to educate payment professionals, such as ISOs, MSPs and financial institutions with the constantly changing information the industry dictates. The association is committed to bringing you this information by involving all aspects of the community. MWAA is a nonprofit, no-membership independent forum dedicated to you!
This year’s MWAA conference will take place at:
Marriott Magnificent Mile
540 North Michigan Avenue
Chicago, IL 60611
July 21 – 22, 2021
You can book your room now at the Marriott Magnificent Mile for a nonrefundable deposit of $275.89 (the cost for one night, plus tax). If you would like to book 4 or more rooms, MWAA requests that you contact their Official Meeting Planner. Click here for more information.
You can register for MWAA now at https://www.midwestacquirers.org/register/. The registration cost for attendees is $50 per person if you purchase in advance online, or $125 per person at the event.
Please note that if you plan to try to sell any product or services or represent a company to sell their products or services, you must register as an Exhibitor, Vendor, or Roaming Exhibitor. You will find all these registration options on the MWAA website.
Start building your conference schedule by reviewing the agenda on MWAA’s website. From the looks of it, these two days are going to be packed with payments industry insights, knowledge, and innovation! Be sure to plan ahead so you don’t miss out.
There are also plenty of great exhibitors and sponsors heading to the conference. Don’t forget to walk the show floor and check out all the exciting products, services, and solutions these companies have to offer. Electronic Merchant Systems will be attending the event as a Harvest Moon Sponsor. Come see our team at booth HM05!
Returning to the tradeshow scene this year is bound to be a breath of fresh air! After a year of distancing ourselves and mostly sticking around home, the opportunity to come together, meet new people, and learn new things is something we certainly won’t take for granted.
However, it is important to acknowledge that the tradeshow environment may not look “normal”. There could still be social distancing practices in place, mask requirements, and other new procedures to follow for the safety of all attendees and exhibitors.
